Bhopal: Tributes, candle march taken out across state capital to condole martyrdom of CRPF jawans

Bhopal: Tributes were paid and candle march was taken out across the state capital on Friday as a mark of tributes and condolence to martyrs of Pulwama terrorist attack in which 40 CRPF jawans were martyred in the blast. Entire state capital condemned the attack on CRPF jawans.

Students of various colleges paid the tribute in the programmes held in their institutions. In Nutan Girls College, candle march was taken out as mark of tributes to martyrs. Students, teaching staff joined the condolence meeting. In Oriental Group of college, tributes were paid to martyrs.

Oriental group chairman Pravin Thakral , staff and students paid the tributes. Cutting across the party lines, Congress as well as BJP leaders and various wings of both the parties paid tributes to the martyrs. BJP leaders including national vice president and ex-CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan paid the tributes.

The others who were present include Leader of Opposition Gopal Bharagav, BJP vice president Vijesh Lunawat, general secretary VD Sharma, MP Alok Sanjar, Mayor Alok Sharma and other were present in the tribute paying programme held at Roshanpura Square.

Chouhan said: “India will destroy all those behind the attack. It will uproot the terrorists and their sympathisers and will not rest until each one was destroyed.” In Bairgarh, BJP leaders condemned the attack and paid the tributes to martyrs. Other leaders like Vijesh Lunawat and VD Sharma condemned the attack.

Congress media in-charge Shobha Oza called terrorist attack as a cowardly act and it has triggered anger all over the country. Central government should retaliate and give befitting reply. It is sixth biggest terrorist attack in Modi Government.

Similarly, other Congress leader Govind Goel, former minister Bhagwandas Yadav, Narendra Saluja, Abhay Dubey, JP Dhanopia, Ravi Saxena and others condemned the attack. Tributes were paid at Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC). Lawyers took out a march from Court to Shaurya Samarak as a mark of tributes to martyrs.

Large number of lawyers joined the march. Waqt Ki Awaz took out candle march from Nizamuddin Colony to Piplani. Condemning the terrorist attacks, the participants paid the tributes to martyrs. Muslims Mahasabha Insani Biradari held programme at Iqbal Maidan to pay tributes to CRPF jawant who made supreme sacrifice.

National Students of union of India (NSUI) paid tributes at Rajiv Gandhi College. NSUI members condemned the terrorist attack on CRPF jawans. They torched the effigy of terrorism and Pakistan at Rajiv Gandhi College. Archdiocese of Bhopal paid tribute to the martyrs of Pulwama attack at Pastoral Centre, Arera Colony, Bhopal on Friday.

Archbishop Leo Cornelio SVD strongly condemned the terrorist attack on CRPF personnel with strongest words ever, who sacrificed their life in the brutal terrorists attack. He said “Any sort of violence and terror is against the progress of humanity.” Terrorists are trying to destabilize the peace and harmony in the world, he continued. The time has come to unite the peace loving community, against all kinds of terrorism, he added.
