Bhopal: Panchayat Sachivs of all 23,000 panchayats and 313 CEOs of Panchayats across Madhya Pradesh will gather to say thanks to CM Kamal Nath besides reminding him of his promise made in Vachan Patra. Sources say that a broad understanding has been made between the state government and Madhya Pradesh CEO Panchayat Sachiv Sanghathan over how to resolve matter related with pending demands.
“One of the major demands include seventh pay commission for panchayat sachivs and implementation of wage commission report for panchayat CEOs,” Bhupesh Gupta, president of the Sanghathan. We have invited the chief minister and panchayat minister to thank them that they had included our demands in their Vachan Patra. We are assured that our demands will be met but other demands that do not have financial implications can be met out without much delay, added Gupta.
President of sachiv wing, Dinesh Sharma said that major demands include implementation of seventh pay commission as almost all employees of the state government have been given barring the panchayat sachivs. Moreover, promotions and merger with panchayat department are other major departments that were promised in Congress’ Vachan Patra and could be done immediately as they do not have much financial implications, said Sharma.
Sources indicate that state government has decided positive on non-financial issues while CM might declare a date from which seventh pay scale too will be awarded to them. ‘Panchayat Sachivs are the grass root connection of government and success of all government schemes depend on them.
Therefore there is no question of annoying them and that too before Lok Sabha elections,’ said a government official privy to decision. “We expect that even our demands should also be fulfilled by Kamal Nath government, the way whole government worked on war footing to deliver its promise of waiving off loans of farmers,” added Gupta.
