Bhopal: Aruneshwar Singh of Sports Promoter Group, Registrar, Rabindranath Tagore University and Ward Number-8 Councilor, Saud inaugurated the Late Ratanlal Chaudhary Memorial 9th T-20 Cricket Tournament has been organised at local Bab-e-Ali ground under the aegis of Challenger Sports and Cultural Society on Thursday.
Two matches were played on the first day of the tournament. The first match was played between Ahinsa club and Super King-11. Super King won the toss and chose to field first. Ahinsa club got all-out at 76 runs in 12.3 overs, Avilash scored 14 runs. Shubham of Super King clinched 5 wickets in his lethal bowling spell. Super King chased the given target in 13.3 overs, Yash scored 18 runs and Shubham gave a contribution of 24 runs. Shubham Lion of Super King was given Man of the Match for his excellent all round performance.
The second match was played between Indian club and GD club. Indian club won the toss, chose to bat and scored 123 runs in given overs at a loss of 9 wickets. Kailash gave a contribution of 46 runs to the team’s score while Sandeep scored 16 runs. Nitesh of GD club picked 3 wickets and Rohit and Tarun both clinched 2 wickets each. GD club chased the given target at a loss of 4 wickets and won the match by 6 wickets. Mahesh scored 37 runs and Kishan scored 24 runs. Nitesh of GDS club was given man of the match.
