BHOPAL: The students Motilal Vigyan Mahavdyalya (MVM), Bhopal have decided to donate the money collected for their annual function to the family members of Pulwama martyrs. Instead of organising the function that was to be held on February 28, they will visit Delhi and hand over the money to the CRPF officials at the headquarters.

Besides, they will request the teachers of their college to donate one day’s salary for the cause. Asma Khan, a final year student of Military Science Department told Free Press, “We are deeply saddened with attack. So, we have decided not to organise annual function this year for a positive cause. We will donate the funds collected for the function to the family members of Pulwama martyrs. We have also planned to go to Delhi and hand over the money to the CRPF officials at the headquarters.”

“We have also planned to request teachers of our college to donate one day’s salary for the cause. We will write a letter for this and hand over to principal sir. We will also request to teachers personally,” Khan added.  Another student Harshita from the same department said, “We have informed the students about the cause through social media and they have communicated their consent for the cause. Following this a group of students handed over a letter regarding this to our principal and he accepted our proposal.”
