Bhopal: A 16-year-old girl who appearing in her board examinations of tenth, committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Chanakyapuri area under Aishbagh police station. She had swallowed poison on late Sunday night and died on Monday evening.
According to investigation officer ASI Narmada Prasad the deceased girl is identified as Yashashwi, 16, a resident of Sagar. Here she was residing in Chanakyapuri area of Aishbagh along with her mother and younger brother. Her father Vijay Singh had committed suicide by hanging self around one-and-a-half years ago.
Yashashwi was student of a private school and presently she was appearing in board exam and had given first paper which was of Sanskrit subject. On Sunday around 11:15pm she started vomiting and when her mother asked, Yashashwi told her that she has consumed poison and listening to it that her mother and brother rushed her to LBS hospital in Shahjahanabad where she died while undergoing treatment around 3:30pm.
No suicide note was left by the deceased girl but prima facie it appears that she has not performed well in her first paper and was anxious over board class exam. A case under section 174 of CrPC has been registered by the police whereas after post-mortem at Hamidia hospital her body was handed over to grieved family members for her last rituals and further probe is underway in the suicide case.
