BHOPAL: Marriage turned into mourning, in Sevda town of Datia district where six people of a family including the bride, died as three LPG cooking gas cylinders exploded on Wednesday. SHO of Sevda police station, Mulayam Singh informed that marriage preparations were going on at the house of Rashid Khan. His sister Rajia and brother Tarif were getting married on April 23. Many guests were in the house and Rajia was cooking food.
At around 1 pm, Rajia accidently left the gas burner knob on and went outside. After sometime she returned and lit the gas, on which a huge blast occurred. Two more gas cylinders also caught fire and all three blew up together.
Daughter of Rashid’s sister Shajli had received serious injuries. She later died at the hospital. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced ex-gratis amount of Rs 2 lakh each to the deceased family and Rs 50,000 to the seriously injured in the incident.
