BHOPAL: Light showers in the evening provided much needed relief from searing heat and humidity to citizens of Bhopal.
The showers started late in the evening and continued for about an hour. Weather office confirmed that it was a pre-monsoon activity but good news is that light to moderate rains is expected for the next three days in Bhopal and Indore.
Monsoon is expected to arrive in the state capital by end of this week. Bhopal that recorded a high of 38.7 degrees Celsius during daytime came down to 27 degrees immediately with the rains.
Pre-monsoon activity has brought down the temperature across the state by 3-4 degrees. Indore and Ujjain have been receiving decent rains for past couple of days. Indore had also witnessed heavy downpour on Tuesday evening.
