BHOPAL: A public meeting was held and a candle march was taken out by political parties, organisations, social workers and intellectuals here on Tuesday demanding judicial probe, under supervision of the Supreme Court, into police encounter of 8 SIMI undertrials.
In the public meeting, it was claimed that the statements of police related to the encounter were contradictory, which generate suspicion about the role of the government. Media reports also put the relevance of encounter under question. It was alleged that the government is not only trying to cover up the matter but chief minister, along with the ruling party and organizations linked to RSS are trying to get communal polarization done and fulfill their vested interests.
