Bhopal: Retd officer’s wife relieved of gold chain

Wife of a retired food Inspector was relieved of her gold chain worth Rs 50,000 in Arera Colony on Wednesday evening. while talking over phone just out side the house. Miscreants managed to disappear after snatching the gold chain. According to Habibganj police, the victim Vijaylaxmi Shukla (67) wife of Rajesh Shukla, a retired food inspector, in her complaint said that she was strolling in front talking over phone when miscreants snatched her gold chain. The bike-borne miscreants had covered their faces. Everything happened so quickly that she cannot raise alarm for help. The complainant said there was no number plate on the bike. Acting on the complaint, police have registered a case against two unidentified miscreants. Police are scanning CCTV footages to establish their identity.
