Bhopal: Regular studies is their success mantra

Bhopal: Three daughters of the town figure in the merit list of the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination, conducted by the MP Board of Secondary Education. The results of the examination were announced on two days back.

The local residents are happy over their performance and their families are exhilarated. Free Press met up with the three toppers, congratulated them and talked with them about how they prepared for the examination and what were their future plans.

All the three said that regular studies was their success mantra. Rakhi Sahu said that she maintained a distance from mobile sets and TV for the whole year and focussed solely on studies. She said that from the day one she was determined to figure in the merit list. Shivani Yadav too said the same thing and so did Ankita Sharma. All the three gave the credit for their success to the school staff.

Rakhi wants to become Neurosurgeon

Rakhi Sahu is a student of Tagore Public School and she scored 96 per cent in the examination. Daughter of Preeti and Govind Sahu, she wants to become a neurosurgeon. Rakhi had scored an impressive 91.8 per cent in the High School Exams. This time, she has got 93 marks in English, 97 in Hindi, 96 in Physics, 99 in Chemistry and 95 in Biology.

Shivani is targeting engineering

Daughter of Geetabai and Hari Singh, Shivani has obtained the fifth position in the Mathematics stream. She wants to become an engineer. She gave credit for her exceptional performance to her mother and her school. Her parents said they were proud of their daughter. Her score card: English (90), Maths (96), Physics (99) and Chemistry (98).

Ankita aiming at IAS

With 95 per cent marks, Ankita Sharma, a student of Swami Dayanand School, Seoni Malwa, figures in the merit list of the Mathematics stream. She wants to become an IAS officer. Daughter of Archana and Kailash Kumar Sharma, she gives the credit for her success to her family members and her teachers. She has got 94 marks in English, 96 in Hindi, 99 in Maths, 90 in Physics and 96 in Chemistry.
