Bhopal: The state capital continued to witness cloudy and windy weather on Tuesday. Chill continued to prevail in morning hours. Spell of hail and rain is likely to lash in various pockets of Madhya Pradesh in the next 24 hours. Rains are likely in various districts of divisions like Gwalior, Chambal, Rewa. Hail is likely districts in Chambal division and districts like Gwalior, Datia, Sidhi and Singrauli districts in the next 24 hours.
Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 30.4 degree Celsius which was just below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 12.9 degree Celsius which is 1.6 degree Celsius below normal.
Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 28.4 degree Celsius which is 3.3 degree Celsius below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 14.8 degree Celsius which just above normal.
As per meteorological department rains were observed over Southeast Madhya Pradesh. Light to moderate rains with few heavy spells is expected over East Madhya Pradesh. The confluence zone which was earlier over east-central Arabian Sea is seen moving across parts of Madhya Pradesh. The system is now moving eastward, thus Madhya Pradesh will now witness very less weather activity.
In the next 24 hours the entire state will begin to see intermittent rain with squalls and lightning strikes at few places. February 28 onwards, the weather would remain completely dry. Rain and hails are likely to hit in some pockets of the state in the next 24 hours.
