Bhopal: Providing drinking water first priority, says EE

REWA : Providing adequate drinking water during the summer season is the first priority of the government, says Pankaj Rao Gaurkhede, the executive engineer of PHE Department here on Tuesday. To ensure supply of drinking water in far-flung areas of the district, the EE has directed the departmental employees to ensure that non-working handpumps are immediately repaired. He said that barring exception circumstances, the employees deployed in work related with drinking water supply, would not be granted leave till June 30. He said that the department is committed to ensuring that the people do not face any difficulties in the summers as far drinking water is concerned.
