BHOPAL: Pre-monsoon showers which lashed all over the state, led to sharp drop of day temperature on Wednesday. As per meteorological department, rains were observed in West Madhya Pradesh due to a Low-Pressure Area in Bay of Bengal. Scattered rains are expected to continue over southwest parts of state for another 24 to 48 hours.
A good spell of rain is expected around June 24 places like Hoshangabad, Betul, Mandla, Seoni, Khandwa, Khargone and Dewas, which might continue until June 26 or June 27.
Light rain drenched Bhopal and caused a drop in a maximum temperature which was 31.6 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature recorded was 24.4 degree Celsius.Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 32.4 degree Celsius.
Sheopur recorded drop of 13.0 degree Celsius during daytime which was 18 degree Celsius below normal while Gwalior’s day temperature was 15.3 degree Celsius below normal. Similarly, Rajgarh and Shivpuri temperature lowered by 8 and 9 degree Celsius below normal respectively.
