Taking a jibe at Congress, BJP national president, Amit Shah said people of the country know well who is ‘Chor’ and the ‘Chaukidaar’ is. Addressing poll rallies in Chhindwara, Lakhnadaun of Seoni district and Balaghat on Friday, the BJP president attacked Congress alleging that corruption• became deep-rooted• during 10 years of UPA regime as scams worth 12 lakh crore unfolded during its term. Congress government indulged in indiscriminate corruption, he added. Congress had no policy, no leader and no principle and it had entered into election fray merely to satisfy its hunger for power, said the BJP chief. Targeting Congress national president Rahul Gandhi, Shah said that Rahul would leave for abroad soon after the elections.
He asked the Congress president to tell the interest percentage at which farm loan was given during the Congress regime in the state. Congress government gave loan to farmers at 18 per cent rate of interest which was cut down by BJP government to 0 per cent, claimed Shah. The BJP government has raised the quantum of loan from Rs 1300 crore to 13000 crore to the farmers, he added. He also accused the Congress president of lacking rural connect. The farmers were tortured for urea during the Congress government but the BJP government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, got urea coated with Neem and stopped its black marketing, said Shah.
