BHOPAL: In the state capital that went to polls on Sunday, the local issues seemed to have lost out to national security factor. The voters of Govindpura and Narela assembly constituencies came out in large number to exercise their franchise. The first time voters were too excited to get their finger inked with the indelible ink.
A good number of voters had gathered at the booths early in the morning to avoid queues and scorching heat. The local issues like road, water, electricity failed to cut ice with the voters. National issues like country’s security, unemployment, economy motivated the people to come out of their houses and exercise their franchise.
