Bhopal: Police Commissioner system will be implemented in major cities of the state, said Chief Minister Kamal Nath while interacting with the senior police officials at police HQ here on Saturday. The CM took the meeting with the SPs, DIGs and IGs and other police officials.
The CM cleared the government stands on many issues and also asked the police officials to strengthen law and order in the state. He laid stress on zero tolerance in crime against women, children, peddling of drugs and gambling. The CM wanted to know whether the system they wanted to start would be beneficial to the society. The issue of commissioner system once again came to light. Former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had also discussed the issue twice but it did not materialise. The IPS and IAS officers are having conflicts on the issue.
He also asked the police officials to conduct Lok Sabha elections unbiased. “You should not allow anyone to manipulate the ”. He also asked the officials “Wash the taint of No-1 Crime State or get ready for transfer. Whoever is capable to work, will be given the responsibility”. He also asked to keep tight vigil on social media and maintain communal harmony.
