Bhopal: MP’s women team beat Rajasthan to win gold

BHOPAL: The women players of MP State Archery Academy Jabalpur have clinched a gold medal in the compound event of the 39th Senior National Archery Tournament held at Cuttack from March 9 to 16. Players Srishti Singh, Anuradha, Lakshita Firke and Muskan Kirar were the members of the winning team. The MP women team defeated Manipur team by 218-217 points.

The final match of the tournament was played between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. MP women team won the finals by 227- 223 points to grab the trophy. The players of the winning team are getting trained under the supervision of chief coach of MP State Archery Academy, Jabalpur, Richpal Singh Salariya. Sports and youth welfare department director SL Thaosen congratulated the players for their achievement and wished them luck for their bright future
