BHOPAL: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped several times by a 20-year-old accused in Jahangirabad here. The accused who raped her between April 2 and 6, had also shot the act with his mobile phone and was threatening to circulate it if she disclosed the incident to anyone. A case was registered against the absconding accused after she lodged a complaint on Monday, the police said.
According to Jahangirabad police, identified as Pawan Yadav, the accused used to live in the same locality as the victim and the two knew each other. On April 2, the accused lured her to a secluded place near the locality and raped her. While into the act, he reportedly shot the whole act on his mobile phone. After raping her once, he took her to different places in and around Bhopal and raped her several times by threatening to make the video viral if she disclosed the incident.
On April 6, the accused left her at Sujakpur near Bhopal and fled. The victim somehow went to her sister who lived in Sujalpur, who then narrated her ordeal to their mother and brought her back to her house in Jahangirabad. On Monday evening, the victim along with her mother lodged a complaint against the accused after which a case was registered under relevant sections of IPC and investigations were on to nab him, the police added.
In another similar incident, a 30-year-old woman was allegedly abducted and raped by the accused 32-year-old in Habibganj locality here. The victim was allegedly abducted on April 6 but the incident came to light on Monday after the victim lodged a complaint following which a case was registered by the police.
According to the police, the victim, a sanitory worker in a private hospital, was a resident of Habibganj. On April 6, she had a fight with her husband after which she got upset and left the house. After a few hours, she met Sumit Hirve who lived in the same locality. After meeting her, Hirve asked about the matter and told her that he too was not happy with his wife. He then offered to marry her and asked her to elope with him on which she agreed. Hirve on the same day took her to now demolished Bhoot Bangla at Koh-e-Fiza and raped her.
He then took her to Ahmadpur village in Sehore district and again raped her several times. They then returned to Bhopal but Hirve left her near Habibganj and fled. The victim then went to her sister’s place and narrated her ordeal. On Monday evening she along with her sister reached the police station and lodged a complaint against the absconding accused. A case was registered under relevant sections of IPC and investigations were on to nab him, the police added.
