Public Relations Minister PC Sharma has been issued a notice by returning officer of Bhopal for violation of model code of conduct. He has been given two-day time to file his reply. Sharma had reportedly said that booth workers will be rewarded with a job if they work hard and help Digvijaya Singh win from their booth. Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Bhopal Singh was at a Congress workers meeting in city on Thursday.

It was during the workers meeting that minister PC Sharma had asked the booth workers to work for Singh in a manner that he wins from all booths. Workers who will get lead in votes for Singh from their booths will get government jobs, Sharma had said according to complaint made by the BJP.  BJP said that it was a clear case of violation of model code of conduct as minister was promising jobs in return.  Election commission had asked the returning officer of Bhopal to inquire into the matter after which the returning officer issued notice to Sharma.
