Bhopal: After taking oath of office and ordering loan waiver of farmers Chief Minister Kamal Nath has constituted a state-level executive committee for the implementation of the order. The 22-member executive committee includes commissioner, agriculture production, development commissioners, additional chief secretary, finance and principal secretaries of several departments and officers.
The panel would look in to the implementation and review of loan waiver to the farmers. According to information, the panel would decide on eligibility of farmers, whose loans are to be waived. The panel would hold discussions with nationalised banks for rebate on loan. The loans of farmers would be waived after the panel discusses about it with the banks.
Nath, honouring the promise made in Congress ‘Vachan Patra’, might have got order of loan waiver immediately after taking oath of office issued but implementation on the order would take place only after meetings of the committee. Meanwhile, BJP state president Rakesh Singh alleged that Congress was befooling farmers of the state, on the lines of Karnataka and Punjab.
He claimed that Congress in its Vachan Patra had promised to waive loans of all farmers but now farmers are being cheated by adding a word ‘eligibility’. Singh said the BJP would constitute a committee to study all these things and disclose the lies.
