Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Junior Doctors Association (JUDA) has opposed the proposed plan of National Board Examination (NBE) for conducting NEET-PG medical examination 2025 in two shifts instead of one.

JUDA has written letter to National Board Examination (NBE) requesting for conducting NEET- PG medical examination 2025 in single shift.

As per letter, the decision to conduct NEET-PG in multiple shifts raises several concerns regarding integrity of examinations.

Primary issue is process of normalisation of marks which are associated with inconsistencies and potential bias. Different question papers in different shift inherently introduce variations in difficulties level, making it challenging to establish truly fair normalisation process.

The multiple shifting examination may lead to undue advantages or disadvantages for candidates based on their assigned shift compromising the examinations results’ credibility. JUDA president Dr Kuldeep Gupta said, ‘Single shift examination ensure uniformity in different level eliminating normalisation process and holds transparency and fairness of selections process.

Besides, multiple shifts may lead to many legal challenges and unnecessary disputes, delays admission process causing distress in aspirants. Immense stress that medical graduates undergo in preparing for NEET-PG adding uncertainty of normalisation further enhancing their anxiety.’
