BHOPAL: A video clip has gone viral showing the son-in-law of farmers welfare and agriculture development minister of Madhya Pradesh, Gaurishankar Bisen creating ruckus inside the coach of Chhattisgarh express train near Nagpur. The man, who was in inebriated condition, was also seen boasting of being the minister’s son-in-law after he was confronted by the police following complaint by co-passengers.

Few days ago, a similar video was widely circulated in the media in which a man claiming to be the nephew of a Member of Legislative Council (MLC) from Samajwadi Party was seen creating ruckus inside a police station in Etah, Madhya Pradesh. While boasting of being connected to the MLC, he even slapped a sub-inspector present in presence of the other police officials and people inside the police station.

According to sources, the man, accused of creating the ruckus inside A-1 coach of the Amritsar- Bilaspur Chhattisgarh express was identified as 40-year-old Chandrasekhar Pardi.

“Pardi had boarded the train on berth number 8 from Bhopal for Gondia. He was under immense influence of alcohol and was creating ruckus inside the coach by shouting and screaming inside the coach causing disturbance to the other passengers between 11 pm till 3 am. The other passengers and the travelling ticket examiner (TTE) asked him not to do so, but he didn’t stop,” said a source on condition of anonymity.

He further added that after Pardi didn’t stop, the TTE called the on-duty railway police force (RPF) official, who came at his berth and confronted him. “As soon as the RPF official reached near his berth, he started bragging that he is the son-in-law of Bisen. However the police official didn’t bend and asked him to come down from his birth only to be later detrained at Nagpur station at around 3 am. Before being detrained, his ruckus continued for about four hours,” added the source.

Pardi’s bragging of being Bisen’s relative can also be seen clearly in the video which was reportedly posted by one of the co-passengers. The TTE of the train later lodged a complaint in the RPF after he was detrained at Nagpur, however no case was registered against him at the government railway police (GRP) station at Nagpur. The TTE in his complaint also alleged him of threatening to suspend him from his job citing his political contacts. In his written complaint he also stated the a bottle of liquor was also recovered from him by the RPF official which proves that not only he was in an inebriated state but also consuming liquor inside the train.

When Free Press tried to contact Bisen, one of his staff members attended the call and said that he cannot talk because he is busy in a meeting. However, one of Bisen’s close aide, on condition of anonymity confirmed that the man in the video was Bisen’s son-in-law.

The leaders of Congress in the state termed the whole episode as a display of sheer arrogance of being in power by the ruling BJP leaders and their relatives.

“On one hand Prime Minister Modi is advocating an end to the VIP culture in the country and on one hand the BJP leaders and their relatives are drenched in arrogance. The BJP leaders and the state government ministers were already spreading lawlesness and anarchy, and now their relatives are following the same track. The ruling party members in the state are intoxicated with the drug of power and I don’t know why chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is sheltering people like Bisen,” said Congress spokesperson, KK Mishra while speaking to Free Press on the whole episode.
