Bhopal: An angry Speaker NP Prajapati adjourned the House on Thursday because of indiscipline among legislators. An angry Speaker yelled at ‘undisciplined’ legislators and ministers and seen then unheeding adjourned the House. The Speaker warned the members, who were not present, to issue orders against them.
Expressing displeasure over Congress MLAs and ministers roaming in the House and flocking around treasury benches and talking to each other, the angry Speaker yelled at ministers and MLAs asking them to sit at their places. The Speaker reprimanded Jaivardhan Singh, Priyavrat Singh and Imarti Devi. When his appeal to them to return to their seats went unheeded, he adjourned the House for five minutes.
During Zero Hour, most of ministers and MLAs were seen standing in officers’ gallery and talking to the officers. The Speaker got annoyed over the members not paying attention to his instructions. Earlier, the Speaker had objected over ministers and MLAs gathering around Chief Minister Kamal Nath. He said members should sit at their places and remain alert.
Leader of opposition Gopal Bhargava said ministers and MLAs need to behave in a disciplined manner in the House. Bhargava said the MLAs were standing in a group near Chief Minister, prior to the Question Hour. The ministers and MLAs did not sit at their designated seats during the Zero Hour. Bhargava said the leaders of the ruling party should keep party politics aside and give knowledge of legislative working to the young MLAs.
