Bhopal: The appointment of Rakesh Singh as state BJP president, who belongs to Rajput community, has made Brahmins in the party to become vocal about the interest of their community members. Hitesh Vajpayee, chairman, Civil Supplies Corporation and enjoys status of cabinet minister, has commented on social media that it is Brahmin versus All in the present times.

Vajpayee has written that it is not that ‘Sawarnas’ are not facing social, economic and professional challenges. He wrote though the state promotes the concept of ‘Antyodaya’ but it is developing a feeling of insecurity in the minds of the Brahmins.

Vajpayee has written that there is need to communicate with Brahmin community too otherwise the youth may get misled amidst politics laced with poison of casteism. He wrote youths should be guided and poor and weak youths should be taken into mainstream so as to prevent them from being misguided.

Vajpayee said it should be contemplated as to how poor ‘Sawarnas’ could be benefited through a scheme. If it is not done by the government than the ‘Sawarnas’ will become merely a tool in the hands of the Congress. He said people like Hardik, Alpesh and Jignesh are there to divide the society and they would be benefitted if nothing is done for ‘Sawarna’ youths.

Earlier, social justice minister Gopal Bhargava too had said that resentment in the society develops when those getting 40% are preferred over people getting 90%. Meanwhile, the youths of Brahmin community demonstrated against reservation on Thursday. The demonstrators, led by Sanskriti Bachao Manch convener Chandrashekhar Tiwari, demanded to end reservation. Earlier, in a programme before Parashuram Jayanti on April 16, the youths had raised slogans demanding end of reservation before Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

On the other hand, Congress chief spokesman KK Mishra said BJP is anti-Brahmin party that is why Brahmin leaders are neither given importance in Delhi or the state. Mishra said Vajpayee should stick to his stand. He also said that Congress has not changed its stand on reservation whereas BJP must put up its stand on it.
