Bhopal: Met department on Sunday issued warning of heavy rains in next 24 hours in Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur and Dindori districts. It has also issued flood alert in Seoni and Balaghat districts due to heavy rains in the next 24 hours. Bhopal on Sunday remained largely dry with nearly no rainfall. However, it remained partly cloudy during the day. The maximum temperature recorded on Sunday in Bhopal was 29.3 degree Celsius while the minimum was 23.6 degree Celsius.

The capital recorded 8.4 mm rainfall during the last 24 hrs. The IMD had forecast that on Monday, the weather of Bhopal would be partly cloudy and in some phases full cloudy with the maximum temperature 30 degree Celsius and the minimum 24 degree Celsius. There will be rains in some parts of the city with thunders. “There has been a monsoon system over Bay of Bengal, Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal which would gradually make the low pressure system more stronger.

This system is supplying moisture to east and central Madhya Pradesh due to which these areas would receive good rainfall from July 18-20. The whole state would receive good rainfall in the next 4-5 days. The capital till Sunday has received light rainfall but good rain is expected on July 19 and 20,” said director, IMD, Bhopal, Anupam Kashyapi
