BHOPAL: The sprawling Saket Nagar Park is simply a fenced ground. It wears a deserted look, exposing the lethargic attitude of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) as well as the local residents.
The ground is covered with a layer of mid-sized stones, making jogging or walking difficult. Local residents, who live in plush bungalows worth crores, are not ready to contribute anything for giving the park a facelift.

“The ground is covered with sharp stones so children cannot play there. They are certain to sustain injuries if they fall down.”

“The BMC authorities should take the initiative for maintaining the park. Most of the residents are quite prosperous and they can contribute to the maintenance of the park. The local corporator should also try and do something”.
Rohit
“The Park should be properly maintained. Even local residents are supposed to come forward for it as it is their asset. If the park is well-maintained, the residents can relax there and take morning and evening walks.”
