BHOPAL: The results of Class 10 and 12 exams of Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) were released on Friday at CM House. Free Press spoke to some of the toppers about their performance.

I was astonished when I heard the news. I was expecting to find a place in the top 10, but never ever imagined that I will top. It is unbelievable. I gave equal importance to each subject during preparation. I belong to a middle class family and my father works in a garment shop and mother is a teacher in a school. First I will do B Tech and then I will prepare for IAS. Basically we are from Tikamgarh but living in Vidisha at present.
Sanyam Jain, Tikamgarh, Class 12 topper

Yes, I knew I will pass with good marks but never ever imagined that I would be topper and get first position in the state. I never ever made any time table for study but yes I studied thoroughly with dedication. All credit goes to my parents and teachers. My father is a constable in MP Police posted in Shivpuri. I want to be an IAS officer and also want to join NDA.
Devprakash Manjhi, Gwalior, Class 10 topper

I want to be agriculture scientist and my ideal is Narendra Modi. Especially I am inspired by his struggle a lot. I used to do exam preparation at home only but revise in school. I used two hours daily for my studies. My father is a farmer, so I used to get practical knowledge from home. All credit goes to my parents, teachers, principal and family.
Sandeep Patel, Damoh, agriculture topper

I want to be a very good teacher because I think the role of teacher is very important in our society. So, first I will do BA and after that I will do preparation for civil services. To become an IAS officer is my childhood desire. I got immense support and motivation from my parents, teachers and friends. I am not satisfied with my marks. I was expecting 96 per cent but got 94 per cent. I got less marks in English so I am thinking to go for revaluation of the paper.
Sheetal Sharma, Bhopal, commerce and maths student, 2nd in Bhopal, 10th in state

From the very beginning, I studied regularly. Yes, I was expecting this but got less marks in English. I want to prepare for the civil services.
Sanskar Chaurasiya, Damoh, agriculture student, rank 3

I do study to gain knowledge, not for getting more marks or for coming in merit list. I want to be a doctor and now I will do preparation for NEET. Study is my hobby.
Yashpal Singh Mahdele, Damoh, Bio stream, rank 9

I did not believe when I got the news on phone. I was thinking I will top in my district. I dedicated six hours daily for study. I’m feeling very happy to get award from CM Chauhan and it is one of the memorable days of my life. I visited the city for the first time. Of course, all credit goes to my parents and teachers. My father works in a factory and mother is a homemaker. I want to go in banking sector.
Nidhi Katiya, Gwalior, Class 10, rank 7

Yes, I was expecting 95 per cent marks. I believe in self study. I want to be a computer engineer. All credit goes to my parents, teachers and friends. My father is a security supervisor.
Hariom Gupta, Umaria, Class 10, rank 8
