Bhopal: Arun Yadav, former president of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), has reacted sharply to the Prabhat Jha’s , National vice-president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), invite to join the BJP. Yadav tweeted: “Jha should take care of his own house first; the blood of Congress flows in the veins of every member of my family. I do not need any invitation from a party that plays politics with the blood of others.”
Rumours were rife that after the appointment of Kamal Nath as MPCC president, Yadav has decided not to contest an election out of anger. Yadav, along with his supporters, stayed back in his home when Nath arrived in the city. To pacify him, Nath has sent Rajya Sabha member of the party Vivek Tankha. Later, Yadav attended the function held by the Congress to welcome Nath.
Observing Yadav’s dismay, BJP has been sending feelers for him.
On one instance Jha had said that party’s national president Amit Shah had encouraged the leaders of various political parties to join the BJP, so if Yadav wanted to join, he would be welcome.
