All India Ulema Board, Madhya Pradesh has issued a fatwa against upcoming film ‘Ram ki Janambhoomi’ produced by Waseem Rizvi, chairman of Shia Waqf Board, Uttar Pradesh. It has also suggested that actor Nazneen Patni, who is in the movie, should be expelled from Islam.
The president of All India Ulema Board, MP Qazi Anas Ali Nadvi has said that the film produced by the president of Shia Waqf Board of UP is not only controversial but also an instrument to create hatred between the two communities of society. Nadvi said this in a press conference on Tuesday in presence of Noor Ullah Yusuf Zai the vice president of the board and the other post holders.
Noor Ullah said that the movie has shown Islam in a bad light and without any credence. In the movie, Halala is shown in a way which is completely against the Islamic Shariya, he added. He said that the movie makes mockery of Islam intentionally to create vicious atmosphere before Lok Sabha elections. He also questioned the timing of the release of film that is slated to release on March 29.
The Ulema Board will never accept mockery of Islamic Shariya, said Noor Ullah adding, “We demand with the government of MP and the central government to stop the release of this controversial film and ban it.” He has suggested that a committee of four members should be formed to decide whether this film is controversial or not and should it be stopped and the committee should include the religious leaders from both the communities.
