Bhopal: Fatal accidents leave three minors dead

In last 24-hours, city witnessed three fatal accidents in which three minors were killed. In the first incident, a 16-year-old girl died while two of her friends had a narrow escape. According to Bairasia SHO SN Pandey, the deceased identified as Pinki Kushwaha, studied in a state-run school at Imalia in Bairasia. The girl and two of her friends were returning from school at around 4 pm when a speeding truck hit her and fled from the spot. Pinki received fatal injuries in the collision while two of her friends escaped unhurt. She was rushed to Bairasia hospital where she died during treatment.

In another accident, collision of two vehicles claimed life of a 12-year-old boy and left his friend injured. The deceased has been identified as Rohit Silawat while the injured is Ghashyam, both residents of Hinoti Sadak under Gunga police station.The incident took place on Friday morning at around 05:30 am when the two boys Rohit Silawat 12 and his friend Ghanshyam 12, were on their routine morning walk near Hinoti culvert. According to investigation officer Sahab Singh of Gunga police station, a loading vehicle, coming from the side of Bairasia and a Boleroa jeep from the opposite direction, collided near Hinoti.

Following the collision, loading auto hit the two boys walking on the road. In the accident, Rohit died on the spot while his friend is undergoing treatment in critical state. The driver fled the scene after the accident leaving the vehicle behind. Gunga police have registered a case in connection with the incident while the loading vehicle has been seized while a case has been lodged against the driver.

In another incident which took place at Lalghati in Ratua, a 13-year-old girl lost her life after being hit by a speeding car. The deceased has been identified as Suraksha Rawat, resident of Ratua under Gunga police station. She had gone to a nearby temple in the afternoon and while she was returning the incident took place. The locals tried to create ruckus in the area protesting the delay in arrival of 108-ambullance service despite repeated calls. Police then reached the spot and tried to pacify the enraged crowd. The girl’s body was taken to the hospital in police vehicle by SHO Gunga SHO Bharat Singh. Police have registered a case against the unidentified driver.
