Bhopal: Members of Kisan Union burnt effigy of principal secretary of agriculture welfare department Rajesh Rajora on Saturday accusing him of failing completely in addressing farmers’ issues and misguiding the government. Kisan Union, general secretary, Anil Yadav along with other members gathered at the Congress headquarters and burnt effigy of principal secretary. Interestingly Rajora lives close to the place where the protest was held. It was after a long time that effigy of a bureaucrat has been burned in the capital city. The protestors raised slogans against Rajora seeking his removal from the department.

Yadav, said that the Congress government should immediately remove Rajora from the agriculture department so that farmer welfare schemes could be implemented in reality. He has been acting like an agent of BJP in the government. He said Rajora had been implementing farmer welfare schemes but still farmers were killed and committed suicides and now he is preparing schemes in the new government.

Yadav also welcomed CM Nath’s decision of waiving off farmers’ loan but added that his protest against the officer continues. The move of Kisan Union has come at a time when the Congress led state government announced farm loan waiver till the period of December 12, when the Congress had took over the state government from BJP after 15 years.
