Bhopal: A two-day conference of 40th MP State Ophthalmic society began at Jehan Numa Palace on Friday. More than 600 doctors are participating in the meet from across the state.
The conference will focus on making eye operations and treatment infection-free and retinopathy of prematurity to save the premature babies from blindness.
For the first time in state, Surgical Skill Transfer Course (SSTC) will be organised at the conference where Dr Rasik Bihari Vajpayee, Melbourne, Dr Raj Vardhan Azad, New Delhi, Dr Lalit Verma, Dr Namrata Sharma, Dr Parizat Chandra from New Delhi, Dr Kuresh Muskati, Dr Barun Nayak from Mumbai and Dr Anand Vinekar from Chennai will be talking about the rising importance of SSTC in the world of ophthalmology and for treatment of eye diseases. Dr Lalit Shrivastava said that the conference have been proving helpful in upgrading knowledge of the doctors of state. Discussions over reducing infections and learning new technology have proved helpful and this year too we have focussed on learning new technologies emerging in health sector.
