BHOPAL: The EOW registered case against 20 people including former vice chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi University (MCU) BK Kuthiala, here on Sunday. SP, EOW Arun Mishra said that the registrar of university had filed complaint to the EOW. Earlier, the 3-member committee submitted its preliminary inquiry report over irregularities in the university. And on the basis of panel report, the registrar had filed the complaint.
Mishra further said that according to the complaint, the appointments had been made since 2003 to 2018 violating the UGC norms and some of the appointments were even made to satisfy people who were in power. The EOW also agrees with the complaint. It is also found that from 2010 to 2018 the then vice chancellor BK Kuthiala had also appointed various people violating the UGC norms. It is also found that to give benefits to his near and near, the former VC had opened many study centres. The V-C had also misused funds for personal use and also taken medical reimbursement violating norms.
The EOW filed case against Kuthiala, Dr Arti Sarang, Dr Anurag Sitha, Dr P Shashikaka, Dr Pavitra Shrivastava, Dr Avinash Bajpayee, Arun Kumar Bhagat, Prof Sanjay Dewedi, Monika Verma, Dr Kanchan Bhatia, Dr Manoj Kumar Pacharia, Dr Ranjana Singh, Surendra Pol, Dr Sourabh Malviya, Surya Prakash, Pradeep Kumar Daheria, Satyendra Kumar Daheria, Gajendra Singh, Dr Kapil Raj, Rajni Nagpal and others.
