Additional Chief Secretary ICP Keshri instructed engineers of all the power distributing companies that tripping and shut-down would not be tolerated during the time of elections and summers. He also instructed the engineers to maintain the regular water supply and power supply at polling booths and at the time of counting. He was addressing a review meeting with MDs of three distributing power companies.
Distributing companies are MP Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited (MPMKVVCL), MP Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited (MPPKVVCL) and MP Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited (MPPKVVCL). ACS reviewed the shut down on 33 KV feeder. He also reviewed more than 10 tripping cases in the last three months and shut down at 11 KV feeder. He instructed to improve the infrastructure with Rs 683 crore from central government funds.
He said, “Engineers should change or replace the non-functioning transformers and meters. In the next Rabi Season, we should ensure regular power supply.” Chairman of three power distributing companies Sukhbir Singh said, “Field engineers should consistently monitor 33/11KV supply line.”
