BHOPAL: A 24-year-old engineering student died while his friend sustained serious injuries after the bike they were riding was hit by a four-wheeler on link road number 1, on Saturday early morning. The four-wheeler was being driven on wrong lane and after hitting their bike, the erring driver left the four-wheeler and fled and it was later seized by TT Nagar police.
The deceased has been identified as Prakhar Shivhare, a resident of Gautam Nagar. He was pursuing engineering from a college near Mandideep. He was returning after having dinner from Nadra bus stand at around 3 am with his friend Ashutosh Pakhtore 21 when their bike was hit by a four-wheeler.
According to TT Nagar police, the deceased was riding towards MP Nagar from New Market when the mishap occurred near Nexa showroom on link road number 1. The deceased was riding the bike and his friend was riding pillion. As they reached near the Nexa showroom, their bike was hit and they fell on road.
They sustained serious injuries and were taken to a hospital where Prakhar died while undergoing treatment. Investigation officer ASI Suresh Pandey said they were admitted in Paliwal Hospital. His friend is still undergoing treatment. An FIR has been registered and hunt is on to nab the driver.
