BHOPAL: Easter Mahotsav was organised on Sunday at BSSS College ground. Nearly 3,000 people belonging to Christian, Hindu and other religious communities came together to celebrate the fest. On this occasion Archbishop Rev Leo Cornelio SVD said, “Easter is all about knowing, believing, loving and serving the Lord to serve and love people. All those who encountered the Resurrected Lord will become witness to all that he taught, did and proclaimed. Easter is not a one-day celebration but an eternal commemoration of Christ love.”
Pastor Biju Varghese said in the present context there was a lot of violence against the believers of Christ. He asked all the believers to encounter the Lord in day to day life as death was not an end but a beginning towards new life. The Mahotsav was highlighted with 20 minutes dance and drama with the theme ‘I am the Resurrection’ says the Lord. St. Xavier, BHEL, Queen Mary, Ayodhya Nagar and St. Montfort, Anand Nagar students added more colour to the festivity. The main characters of the drama were the brothers from SVD Vidya Bhavan. Mayor Alok Sharma, and cabinet minister Vishwas Sarang, different religious leaders, educationists and renowned personalities were present at the event.
