BHOPAL: Intensifying action into the e-tendering scam the investigation agency- Economic Offences Wing has served notices to the seven beneficiary companies on the basis of the information provided by software companies employees- during their interrogation. The EOW had registered a case in connection with nine tenders which were allegedly the part of e-tendering scam on April 10. A case has been registered against two software companies Osmo IT Solution of Bhopal and Antrance software company Bangalore. With the help of the digital signature the government officials and the private software company’s employees had allegedly tampered with the tenders.
The notices had been served to the two Hyderabad-based company GVPR limited and Max Mantena limited, two Mumbai-based companies Hume Pipes limited and JMC limited, two Baroda based companies Sirotiha Belji private limited and Madhav Infra project limited and Bhopal based company Rajkumar Narwani limited. FIR has been registered against the directors of the companies. The notices are served on the basis of the investigation done so far by the EOW. Earlier the EOW had arrested the three directors of the Osmo IT solution and also the OSD of the MP state electronics development corporation.
During the investigation the OSD and the directors have allegedly revealed the modus operandi and provided details on how they had manipulated the data pertaining to the e-tendering. The officials are still investigating and questioning the employees of the Antrance company. The EOW had already questioned the two officials of the company, but had not made any arrests so far. The EOW had taken the forensic images of the servers and had collected the data from Bangalore, but no arrest had been made. The SP EOW Arun Mishra informed Free Press that the agency is conducting the investigation and taking the required steps into the case, “The investigation details cannot be shared, but information on action like arrest or seizure will be informed.”
