Bhopal: The visually impaired people who have staged a sit-in on Thursday organised Sadbudhi-Yagya so that the state government may fulfill their demands, which include recruitment on 8,000 posts reserved for disabled people called Divyangs. The yagya was part of their 11-day long stir being held at Neelam Park.
The protestors said that state social justice minister Gopal Bhargava has not visited them so far. Though co-operatives minister Vishwas Sarang had visited them on 9th day of dharna, they turned down his plea stating that Sarang cannot solve their problems as he is not the social justice minister.
On Tuesday, they had staged jal satyagarh in support of their demands. Manish Sikarwar, a member of Dhrashtiheen Berojgar Samiti, said, We will continue our dharna till our 23 demands are met. The main demand is direct recruitment against backlog of 8,000 posts lying vacant in various departments. Another Samiti member Hinayat Ansari said, We organised Sadhbudhi Yagna so that good sense may prevail on state government. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan should intervene in matter. For last 15 years, we have been fooled in Madhya Pradesh. We will intensify our agitation if our demands are not met.
