BHOPAL: The spirit of organisers were dampened as expected gathering in the state-level training programme on public welfare schemes did not turn up out at Jamboree  Maidaan, as almost 60 per cent seats remained vacant. Among the participants, more than 50 percent had come to meet chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and to file complaints.

According to confirmed sources, a huge amount of around Rs 28 corers has been spent to organise the training programme, in which singer Alka Yagnik and other presented songs to entertain the audience. Around 11 short films were also screened showcasing achievements of the CM.

But interestingly, none of the audiences were interested in all the arrangements, among which around 20 screens were installed in to give a clear view of the CM and other programme running at the dais.

Huge arrangements were made to bring people from every district to attend the training session. But very few people attended the programme and more than 60 percent of the tents were remained vacant.

It was expected that around 7 lakh participants will  participate in the session, but only around 2 lakh participants attended the session.

Most of the participants were seen carrying complaint and demand papers in their hands, which they wanted to handover to the CM to get their problems redressed and demands fulfilled.

Some of them informed that they were told that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi was going to attend the meeting, but they feel cheated when they saw only the CM and other minister sitting at the dais.

After every short film, the CM was felicitating the beneficiaries of the particular programmes, but the audiences watched listlessly. The CM came forward and asked the gatherings to clap up the participants who were benefited.

The two sections present in front of the dais of men and women were regularly raising questions and asked the CM to redress their problems first, but the CM asked them to keep calm and told that after the programme he will be going to meet all of them.

Huge mismanagement was evident on the occasion, as several women complaint that they were sitting since morning, without food or even tea.

Kiran from Jabalpur alleged that she and her mother were told that they will get food and water, but since last night they haven’t got anything.
