BHOPAL : RTI activists have made complaint against the death of two cubs in Bandhavgarh tiger sanctuary and the National Tiger Conservation Authority has taken cognisance of the matter.
RTI activist Ajay Dubey informed that two tiger cubs had died in Bandhavgarh national park in last two days. They were reported to have died with the infection of carbo virus.
He said carbo virus was found in dogs and these cubs were in close monitoring of the park officials. He added on January 30, the poachers had killed the tigress in the park and she was having three cubs. All three were kept in the park in close monitoring. Recently two of them died due to infection and the third was also infected with the virus.
He alleged the virus could be transferred when dogs were around them, and asked NTCA to conduct an inquiry into the matter.
“The NTCA has shown affirmative reaction on the complaint and very shortly a team will visit the national park,” he added.
