BHOPAL: The Congress has decided to launch its state-wide ‘pol-khol chaupal’ campaign from chief minister Shivraj Singh’s constituency Budhni from Tuesday. Among others, PCC chief Arun Yadav and leader of opposition in Vidhan Sabha Ajay Singh will join the programme.

A press note issued by the PCC general secretary Chandrika Prasad Dwivedi said the state government’s policies were anti-people and in the name of development, it was doing nothing except making tall promises. He said that the Congress would hold ‘pol-khol chaupals’ in different parts of the state to expose the corruption and misdeeds of the CM, ministers, BJP leaders and their associates.

The party would specially focus on corruption in Simhastha and Vyapam, besides Katni Hawala scam, deaths of thousands of children due to malnutrition and the failure of the government to provide compensation to rain, drought and hail-hit farmers.
