BHOPAL: Led by Congress MLA Saurabh Singh and state youth congress president Kunal Choudhary, Congress workers managed to enter the premises of Mudwara railway station on Monday and stopped the Bina-Damoh passenger train.
The protesters sat on the railway track. The GRP and local policemen used force to get the tracks vacated.
The protest was a part of the ongoing agitation in Katni protesting the transfer of SP Gaurav Tiwari.
The local residents including women, school and college students, auto drivers and other commoners are participating in the protest in a big way.
The city has been plastered with posters and banners stating “we support SP Gourav Tiwari”.
On the other hand the supporters of the minister Sanjay Pathak also took out the rally in the support, in various vehicles with posters stating ‘I support Sanjay Pathak’.
