BHOPAL: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan issued a stiff warning to the ministers in an informal discussion during the cabinet meeting held here on Tuesday. Chouhan was visibly perturbed over his deliberations with the ministers being leaked to the media.
Chouhan said that details of the informal discussions held during cabinet meeting should not come out of the cabinet room. He said “It was surprising that the ministers, despite having taken the oath of secrecy, were leaking information to the media. If any minister thinks that he will not be caught, he is living in a fool’s paradise,” he said, adding that “I can easily find out. And I will sack such ministers.”
Interestingly, this warning of Chouhan was also leaked to the media, ensuing a blame game among some ministers, sources said.
Earlier, the CM asked the ministers how many of them had still not reviewed the progress of ‘Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday’ campaign in the districts under their charge. As some ministers said that they could not review the campaign works for they were busy with Narmada yatra, Chouhan asked them to do the review after May 15.
The CM also asked the ministers to prepare a roadmap of their work. He said that ministers should work in such a manner that their departments achieve the targets set in the budget.
He further instructed that implementation of cabinet decisions should be reviewed from time to time and ‘Gram Uday’ campaign should also be reviewed at district level. He said that in June, he would review the work done in the districts under the charge of the ministers.
Fee on land use change of farm land reduced
The cabinet approved an amendment to section 15 of the MP Rural and Urban Town Planning Rules 2012, reducing the fee on land use change of farm land. A nominal fee would be charged for allowing opening of hospitals and educational institutions on farm land and the proposals will be cleared within the stipulated time limit. With this decision, the use of agricultural land around cities for commercial purposes will become easy. But as this decision has been taken before the preparation of the master plan for cities, it may create problems in development of urban areas.
