Bhopal: CM orders inquiry into grade 3 recruitments

Bhopal: Aspirants who appeared in the recruitment exam for grade three employees in state government protested at Professional Examination Board (erstwhile Vyapam) office on Tuesday. Later Chief Minister Kamal Nath ordered inquiry into the recruitment process at Congress MLA Kunal Chowdhary’s complaint. More than hundred job aspirants who had appeared for the recruitment test protested against the irregularities in the test.

One of the protestor said the irregularities in the process include non compliance to the reservation rules. After the protest by the aspirants officials took a written complaint from them and assured them of action. Congress MLA Kunal Chowdhary, who had led several protests against the recruitment agency earlier as an office bearer of youth Congress reached the spot and tried to pacify the agitators. Later a delegation of complainants led by Chowdhary reached Nath’s office.

After hearing out the delegation, Nath ordered an inquiry in the matter.Professional Examination Board (erstwhile vyapam) has been embroiled in another controversy. An applicant who had filed a petition in High Court related with departmental exam of Naib Tehsildars has urged the recruitment agency not to declare results of examination till High Court decides the case. Applicant Hemant Goswami said that during the said exam several irregularities had come to fore.

Several questions were asked outside the syllabus. He alleged that like many other exams reservation rules were not complied with in this exam. Not satisfied by the response of the recruitment agency, Goswami filed a petition in Jabalpur High Court. The court had directed the Vyapam not to destroy the answer copies of the examinees.

It also directed agency to produce the original question paper in court. But the agency has failed to produce it before the court till date, said Goswami. Goswami said sources have told him that PEB intends to declare the results of the exam; therefore he has urged the board to hold the results till court decides on the matter
