Bhopal: Chouhan conferred with APJ Abdul Kalam Award

Bhopal: Former Chief Minister and BJP national vice president Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been conferred with ‘APJ Abdul Kalam Award-2019’ by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday.

During the tenure of Chouhan as chief minister, Madhya Pradesh became the first state launch Lok Seva Guarantee scheme. He had also launched CM Helpline for the disposal of public grievances.

Panchayats of different sections of the society were held and also prepared schemes on the basis of suggestions given during his tenure. Chouhan also began Jandarshan Karyakram. He also set up Atal Behari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis.

Chouhan, during his tenure, ensured all government payment through e-payment. He also started ‘Samadhan Online’ programme and also launched district-wise Samadhan portal.
