BHOPAL: The poor condition of the Shivaji Nagar Park shows that the BMC administration’s slogan of “Clean Bhopal Green Bhopal” is just that – a slogan. The park is in a state of advanced ruin. It is dusty instead of being lush green, which it is supposed to be. It is not even properly fenced.
There is no greenery and no ornamental plants. There is no facility for children to play either. The poor condition of the park means that there is not even place for the people to relax under the shade of trees. It is just like a “Kanji house”. In night, stray animals rest there. The park needs immediate attention of the BMC administration.

“Shivaji Nagar Park is totally wretched as it has not been properly fenced. It has become a dusty ground instead of a green park. Its condition shows that BMC administration is not doing anything to justify the slogan “Clean Bhopal Green Bhopal”. “
Anil Dixit
“Even children cannot play in the park. The BMC administration is supposed to take prompt action for proper maintenance. Even residents can also contribute to it. It is better to call it a Kanji house instead of park.”
Ayush Panchal
“Park should be developed in a proper way. People prefer to visit parks for morning walks and for practising yoga and children visit to play but its condition is so poor that it is useless for them”
Shubham Server
“The dusty ground is problematic for persons allergic to dust so they try to avoid visiting there. Even local residents should also take initiative for proper maintenance. Unfortunately, they simply blame BMC administration.”
