BHOPAL: Tikamgarh police have registered a case against son of a BJP MLA KK Shrivastava for assaulting villagers during Holi celebrations at his farmhouse, on Monday. The villagers alleged the police had not registered complaint of molestation against the MLA’s son.
Kallu Yadav filed the complaint that Siddharth Shrivastava and his friends tried to molest his wife during the Holi revelry. When they approached the police, they did not file the molestation case.
SHO of Tikamgarh Dehat police station, RP Mishra said during Holi celebrations two parties clashed in Sunara-Khiriya village at the farmhouse of MLA KK Shrivastava on Monday. Applicant Kallu Yadav filed the case against Siddharth Shrivastava, son of the MLA, and other six for making assault attempt on him.
The police registered the case under sections 294,323,324,506 and 34 of IPC, he said adding the complaint of molestation was found wrong when investigated. The police have also registered a case against Balkishan Yadav and other two for attacking Indar Yadav.
State Congress president Arun Yadav alleged in a press conference that the BJP MLAs were losing their consciousness of right and wrong due to their political power and now their family members were leaping one step ahead in audacity.
He also alleged if the lady had filed the molestation complaint then the police should have registered the case accordingly, but due to political pressure they were not able to perform their duties properly.
