Bhopal: Cabinet approves free coaching to SC/ST students for JEE, NEET

Bhopal: The State Cabinet here on Tuesday approved a proposal recommending two-year free coaching for national level exams to meritorious students of SC and ST category. The decision will benefit thousands of students of reserved categories preparing for JEE, NEET, AIIMS, CLAT and others as they will now get free coaching from year 2018 to 2020.

Apart from this, the Cabinet took many other decisions in its meeting held at Vallabh Bhawan on Tuesday. As per one of the decisions, shikshakarmis and contractual teachers working in private schools associated with tribal welfare department will get salary of Adhayapak Samwarg from July 2018.

Besides, the Cabinet approved proposals for revised salary structure of forest guard and for appointment on six new posts of data entry operator in revenue board in Gwalior as part of contractual recruitments. A go-ahead was also given to a proposal for filling 4709 posts in the public health engineering department, whereas a proposal for declaring 146 unoccupied posts, which are no longer required, as excess.

For the Pundit Kunjilal Dubey Sansadiya Peeth, the post of director and an assistant programmer will be created as the Cabinet’s decision. It also approved proposal for paying Rs 10428 crore to the power distribution companies for giving subsidy to consumers. The farmers will be benefited with this programme.

Under the demarcation and land accusation scheme, survey service charges of the project expenses of Rs 300 crore have been approved for fiscal 2018-19. Under Poshan Abhiyan, Rs 575 crore have been approved for year 2018 to 2020. This scheme is the part of the National Nutrition Mission. The state government will bear 20 percent of the financial expenditure. To build new Madhya Pradesh Bhawan in Chanakyapuri in New Delhi, Rs 149 .87 crore were sanctioned. In the meeting, four irrigation projects worth Rs 557 crore have been sanctioned.
