Bhopal: Two murders in full public view in Indore and Mandsaur have intensified the tug-of-war between BJP and Congress. BJP office bearers would be submitting memorandum to collectors across the state over law and order on Saturday. BJP state president Rakesh Singh too would hand over a memorandum to director general of police (DGP) over the issue.
Singh said the murder of businessman Sandeep Agarwal in Indore, killing of Prahlad Bandwar, the Municipality chairman in Mandsaur and attack on police personnel in Bhopal shows the sorry state of affairs on change of the government in the state. Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday visited Mandsaur and met the family members of Bandhwar. Chouhan has demanded stern punishment to the murderers.
However, Chief Minister Kamal Nath said politics should not be done on murder as the attacker and the victim belonged to the same party. He said there was no need for probe into murder incident in Mandsaur. Son of Bandhwar has named the accused in his police complaint besides, there were eyewitnesses too, said Nath. The government is fully alert on maintaining law and order, the Chief Minister said.
