Bhopal: Ex-Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, addressing a press conference on Saturday, said Bharatiya Janata Party is not interested in toppling the state government. He said BJP does not believe in politics of horse trading and manipulation. He said BJP can’t do anything if the government falls because of its own contradictions. Chouhan alleged that the state government was fully engrossed in corruption. The promises made by Congress during assembly polls, have not yet been fulfilled and CM Kamal Nath is busy dreaming in his air-conditioned office at Mantralaya. Chouhan said it was Modi’s tsunami and the resentment in people towards the state government which led to their votes going in favour of the BJP.
He said BJP could have won all 29 seats had a little more work been done in Chhindwara. Chouhan said, the victory shows the victory of Modism- which is defined by slogan of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. He said BJP national president Amit Shah is the Chanakya of modern politics. Chouhan said we also used to take his claims as exaggerations but all happened as per Shah’s plan. Chouhan said we were expecting 50 seats in Uttar Pradesh but Shah was firm in his belief that the party would get 61 to 64 seats there. On the issue of Sadhvi Pragya Thakur’s statements, he said there was nothing to say as she had tendered apology. He added that Mahatma Gandhi is his inspiration. Chouhan termed Rahul Gandhi as an irresponsible leader.
